REPORTS OF OUR VISIT ALONG THE RIVER SEINE

In our group there were Faïza, Noémie, Irman. The group leader was Bruno Debaecque, Ferdinand’s father. The outing was on Friday December 12th
The weather was bad it was cold we couldn’t move our fingers any more and there was a lot of wind. We left the school at 1:45 and we took the metro: We took the métro at Pyrenées and we got off at the station “hôtel de ville”.
We saw four bridges: le Pont d’Arcole was make of metal, le Pont Notre Dame, le Petit Pont was make of stone, le Petit Pont was make of stone, le Pont Saint Michel was make of stone. We liked the two first bridges because they were very beautiful but we hated the third bridge because in this bridge there were many bird droppings. We learned the history of the bridges and who build the bridges. It was interesting to look the different structure of the bridges but we hated drawing bridges because it was cold. We made great pictures and great movies. Mr De Baecque was generous because he gave us tea. We liked this outing it was interesting but it was hard to work in the cold. We came back to school at 5:00 pm.

There was Billal, Julien, Moussa, Mamadou, Choedon, Romane and Rosanna in our group. Our group leader was Mrs Létant, our English teacher. The outing took place on December 12th. We left after half past one. We went there by foot and we took the underground. We got off at Châtelet station and we changed to take line 7. We finally got off at Pont Marie. The weather was freezing cold. We saw the River Seine and four bridges Pont Marie, Pont de la Tournelle, Pont de Sully (grand bras and petit bras). So we saw so many beautiful things near the bridges like boats, Notre Dame, a chic restaurant (la Tour d’argent), a big museum (l’Institut du monde arabe). The bridges were near the historic Paris. From the bridges we had a nice view of the River. We really liked the group work. We all worked very hard. We liked to visit the bridges nevertheless we hated the weather although we had lot of clothes for the winter. We came back to school at five o’clock.

In our group there were Kevin, Ophélie, M’dajassiri and Wanis. The group leader was Mrs Hede, Nicolas’ mother. It took place on the 12th of December. The weather was horribly cold so we were all frozen when we came back at school. We left at 13.45 pm.
To go see the bridges we took the underground and we walked, we got off at “Châtelet”. We saw three bridges: the Pont Neuf and the Pont-au-change in stone whereas the Pont des Arts was in metal and wood. There were four “Ns” on the Pont-au-change because this bridge was built when Napoléon was reigning. The Pont des Arts was built with steel bars and there were typical Parisian benches on it. We liked the ambiance and the Pont des Arts but we hated the weather which was absolutely cold. Nevertheless, we learnt many things like the date of the construction of the bridges we saw. We came back at 17.30 pm.

Our group was composed of Ferdinand, Gracieuse, Annabelle and Leonard. Our art teacher was our group leader. Our visit took place on Friday, December 12th. The weather was very cold but it was sunny at the beginning. We left the school at about half past one. We took the tube at “Pyrénées”: there was not a lot of people so we could have seats. We got off at “Hôtel de ville” because it was near our first bridge. We had four bridges to study. First we saw le Pont Louis Philippe, built with stones. Then we saw le Pont Saint Louis, built with metal. After we saw Le Pont double, built with stone. And finally le Pont de L’archevéché, built with metal and stones. We learnt about the different styles and shapes of bridges which were not built at the same time with the same materials. There weren’t a lot of details on the bridges. But Le Pont de l’archeveché had a lot of very interesting details. We were surprised to see so many boats. We came back at 16.30 pm. We liked this outing but it was very cold.
