BRIDGES OVER THE RIVER SEINE.

Here are some Haikus we wrote. Our teacher gave us a sheet with the vocabulary we needed. You can have a look at it to write your haikus.

Banks of the River
Reflected on the water
Projects dark shadows

The bridges of Paris
Flickering on the water
Twinkle in the sky

Iron-made bridges
Show Faint glimmer of daylight
Wakening up dawn

Two Little islands
Lots of silvery puddles
Water edges swirl

Streaks of pale light
Overflow the River banks
Seething, thundering

By cloudy weather
Resting under high bridges
Ripplings of the River

Steely-blue shadow
Half a man or half a dream
On the clear waters

The veils of the boat
Float in the breeze before
Mooring in the port

There are shafts of lights
With iridescent colours,
The glare of the sky.

Brilliant water’s edge
Daylight’s dazzling reflection
Runs into the sea.

Bridges are hyphens
Bridges are travel agents
Bridges are life.

The river’s glowing
On the shore, brillant sunset
Goes out behind it.

The moonlight twinkles
Glimmer of daylight fades
The water edges gleam.

The moonlight glitters,
The glare of the sky went out,
Daybreak is coming.

Moonlight, dull colors,
Beautiful glare of the sky,
The bridges are sad.

The water is pure.
Flowing calmly in the Seine,
It is the master.

Shadows of bridges
Appear with the brilliant moon.
Bridges never die.

A curious fish
Spouts out of the calm River
To see Notre-Dame.

A walking man
On the Parisian banks
Dived into the sky.

They are grey and old
stand, support and help us all
Parisian bridges!

The brilliant water
swirls quickly along the banks
blue water twinkles.

At sunrise puddles
Water runs into the sea
Puddles become sea.

Big floods everywhere
Water overflows the banks
O Land! Where are you ?

Streaks of light brilliant,
The glare of the sky glowing,
The sunrise spouts out.

Blatant waves eddy,
Strands swirl in the water’s edge,
The river thunders.

The pale light dances
On the flow of the river
The moonlight is soft.

Glimmer of daylight
Crowds walk across the bridges
Run over it too.

Dazzling reflections
Of the falls' ink-shadowed sheen
Streaks of light cascade.

Bright light is glowing
Iridescent colours flood
Waves swirl shafts of light.

The seine, its bridges
Sink under my opened eyes
Eternal River.

Upstream and downstream
From the left bank to the right
The river always.

An eternal life
Under the bridges, the Seine
Faint colours and sounds.

A magic river
Flowing udner Paris' bridges
Is named the Seine

On the river Seine
the stone is the bridge
You may have a look

Pleasure is in
The city which never sleeps
It is in Paris
